Siren measured 29" from the bend in her hat to the tip of her toes.  I think her shape is interesting and endearing.  She may either hang or sit.

Her hat has tinsel around the brim and the tip of her hat.  She is made of quality osnaburg which has an antiquing solution base with cinnamon  added then acrylic paints applied with oil art pencils used for the detailing.  She wears cotton bloomers and dress with a tulle over-skirt.

This great fall rug measures 13 1/2" x 19 1/2" and is bound using cotton binding and is yarn whipped at the outside edge and stitched down on the inside edge with heavy cotton upholstery thread.

The hand hooked Jack is a design by Barb Carroll and was a free pattern in a 1997 Rug Hooking Magazine. It is hooked on Dorr Natural Primitive Linen using 100% wool. Both as is textured wool and hand dyed wool using #8 and #8.5 wool strips was used. It can be your fall decoration treat for $150 plus shipping.

Jack-O-Lynne measures 23" from the crook in her hat/stem to the tip of her toes.  She is made using quality osnaburg fabric which was coated with gesso and painted.  Her clothing is cotton with a tulle over-skirt and a finer tulle ruffled collar.

Pumpkins on a candlestick which has been painted, coated and sprinkled with cinnamon to make it look like rusted candlesticks.  The pumpkins are made with wool fabric, stuffed with fiberfill and wool appliqué for their facial features.

Candy Corn Cat will add a little whimsy to your fall or Halloween decorations.  It measures approximately 11" from top of wire hanger to bottom of corn. 

The corn is made with canvas which has a black base coat painted, and then painted on top with the colors but leaving a little of the black to show thru.  The cat is made using osnaburg cotton, painted and lightly sanded.  A combination of floral moss, vintage tinsel garland and pompom embellish the cute whimsical Candy Corn Cat.  $28 plus shipping.

A Primitive Cat Cushion (pillow) I fashioned after an early 1900s pillow as shown in the book "Seasons" which was in the home of Messrs. Cramer and Johnson's Seven Gates Farm in Maryland.  

Made of woven wool with embroidery floss embellishment, the cushion/pillow measures 17" across from left to tip of ear and 12" top to bottom from tip of ear to tail.

This could be used as a Halloween decoration or all year round.  $48 plus shipping. 

The bewitching Luna Strega (Moon Witch) measures 36" from bottom of feet to top of crook in her hat.  Her face has been hooked with #8 wool strips, has a crooked wool nose and the back of her head is the same color but solid wool.  This wool was hand dyed by me.

Luna Strega has purple cotton bloomers, stripe cotton legs and green arms.  Her shoes are painted and her hat is stiffened cotton which has been painted and stitched to her head.   She holds a wool pumpkin with a wire handle.   $75 plus shipping. 

What a great candy pouch for a young girl which can be used as an Autumn Pumpkin Purse for mom.  It  measures  8 1/2" across the top and 7 1/4" down the middle.  It is made of medium weight canvas on the outside, which has been painted with acrylics and antiqued.  There is a color coordinated lining and small inside pocket to accommodate car keys, lipstick or change.  The shoulder straps are thick jute cording.  Yours for $35 plus shipping.

Acorn Pincushions & Needle Keeps

The Acorn Pincushions can be used any time of the year as they are very functional and have an earthy appeal to them.

They are 7 1/2" tall, made with wool as the acorn cap and woven cotton for the nut part.  One is on a ceramic base (left) while the others have a stem.  The decorative stitching is done with embroidery floss.
